NCC’s Peace Conference: Exploring the American Experience

Honoring history, NCC brings speakers and panel together to discuss the American Experience.

BETHLEHEM, PA – Community members are invited to join Northampton Community College (NCC) for this year’s Peace Conference held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 on Bethlehem campus. The conference is presented as a part of NCC’s 2025-26 Annual Humanities Program Theme, “We the People: Reflecting Back, Building Forward,” in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. The theme this year builds upon NCC’s original designation by the National Endowment for the Humanities as a “We the People” institution, a distinction that placed the College among an elite group committed to strengthening the teaching, study, and understanding of American history and culture.

On October 22, the conference will feature morning talks on various cultural experiences, and in the afternoon, attendees can enjoy lunch and a panel discussion featuring NCC’s faculty and staff experience. In the evening, community members can head to ArtsQuest’s Frank Banko Alehouse Cinema for a free screening of The Harder They Fall with a foreword by NCC Professor Sol Levy.

All events are free and open to the public, and lunch is included with a reservation. To see the full agenda and reserve your spot, visit https://nccgo.cc/peace.
