Announces Health Programs & Supportive Services Advisory Committee

ALLENTOWN, PA — Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, which prioritizes health and wellness programs for the LGBT community, today announced its new Health Programs and Supportive Services Advisory Committee.

The Health Programs and Supportive Services Advisory Committee will provide external expertise and guidance to advise the health programs and supportive services at The Center. Existing programs include administration of LGBT health needs assessments, tobacco & diabetes prevention, gynecologic cancer screening promotion, HIV/STI testing, bereavement and recovery support groups, and more.

The advisory committee includes clinicians, researchers, health advocates and community leaders with expertise in LGBT health and wellness. Committee members are:
  • Beth Careyva, M.D., Department of Family Medicine, Lehigh Valley Health Network

  • Meredith Casey, Tobacco Program Manager, American Lung Association in Pennsylvania

  • Elizabeth Goff, M.D., Pediatrician, Lehigh Valley Physicians Group, Lehigh Valley Health Network

  • Anita Kelly, MA, CAC, LPC, Director of Counseling Services & LGBT Coordinator, Muhlenberg College

  • David Moyer, R.N., Retired Community Health Nurse

  • Judith Lasker, Ph.D., NEH Distinguished Professor of Sociology, Lehigh University

  • Jonathan Lassiter, PhD., Assistant Professor of Psychology, Muhlenberg College

  • AJ Schaffer, Trans* Health Advocate, Allentown Women’s Center

  • Patricia Sullivan, Ed.D., Retired hospital administrator
