February 24, 2017 (Emmaus, PA) Wild Fox Farm announced today a special event series titled “Meet the Farmer” that will provide opportunities for the public to meet owners Ben and Karah Davies and learn about the experience of a local farm providing vegetables and meat through different channels such as a CSA share or through a farm to table at a Lehigh Valley restaurant.   Wild Fox Farm is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504.

Wild Fox Farm, founded in 2010, is family owned and operated by Ben and Karah Davies and is located in Pennsylvania’s Butter Valley over 40 acres.   Wild Fox Farm grows 10 acres of vegetables, raises pasture raised poultry and eggs, wood lot pork and free range lamb as well as offers summer and winter Community Supported Agriculture or CSA shares.   Wild Fox Farm grows their vegetables without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or GMO seed.  All animals never receive hormones or antibiotics and eat local grain.

Wild Fox Farm is hosting four events as part of their “Meet the Farmer” series.  Meet the Farmer is designed to introduce Wild Fox Farm to new audiences in order to raise awareness of local farms, the benefits of being a part of a CSA share, and how farm to table is important in not only supporting local farms but raising awareness of buying foods locally.

The first event is being held on Sunday, February 26 from noon to 1 pm at Let’s Play Books located at 244 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049.   Wild Fox Farm will be introducing its young audience to what they grow and how their families can be a part of Wild Fox Farm throughout the year as part of CSA Share.   The event is by registration only and is $3 per child and $1 per sibling.  The fee can be used towards a purchase at Let’s Play Books on the day of the event.   Space is limited.  To register go to www.letsplaybooks.com.

March 14, 2017 Wild Fox Farm will partner with House and Barn located at 1449 Chestnut St., Emmaus, PA 18049 to host a happy hour event from 5 pm to 8 pm at The Barn.  Wild Fox Farm and House and Barn are providing an opportunity to meet the farmer and taste the experience with the House and Barn’s culinary team featuring a Wild Fox Farm special.  The event is free and open to the public and features half off draft beer for the event.   Ben Davies, owner of Wild Fox Farm, will be in attendance to answer questions about the importance of “farm to table” and the 2017 CSA share opportunity.

May 6, 2017 Wild Fox Farm will host a Meet the Meat event at their farm which is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504.  Meet the Meat will be held from 10 am until noon with the Wild Fox Farm store open for shopping as well an opportunity to meet with owners Ben and Karah Davies and discuss the meat products available through Wild Fox Farm.   The event is open to the public and family friendly.  No reservations are required.

The final event in the Meet the Farmer series will be held May 16 at Wild Fox Farm which is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504.  This event will be an open house event held from 10 am to 1 pm.  The event will be free and open to the public with registration opening in April 2017.  The open house will give guests the opportunity to tour the farm, learn the inner workings of a modern local farm as well as a chance to register for the summer CSA share program.
