Mackenzie Offers Veterans Assistance March 10

Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) has announced that he still has appointment times available for veterans to meet with an outreach specialist from the American Legion on Friday, March 10. These services are offered the second Friday of each month for veterans to have their questions answered in regard to benefits and services they have earned serving our country.

“This service remains a valuable resource to many area veterans who wish to have the opportunity to sit down with someone face to face and have their questions answered,” said Mackenzie. “I encourage those needing assistance to call my office and set up an appointment.”

Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.

Appointments are offered the second Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mackenzie’s district office at the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road in Macungie. Anyone interested in speaking with the department service officer should call the office at (610) 965-9933 to schedule an appointment.
