Lehigh Valley, PA, 5/5/2017- Our Lehigh Valley Salvation Army Corps’ locations will celebrate National Salvation Army Week beginning May 8 2017. Each location will host an open house event which will give a behind the scenes look at how the local Salvation Army works. All are invited to take a look at our food pantry, chapel, program spaces and shelter.
Other special events taking place during National Salvation Army Week in Lehigh Valley are:
- Allentown Corps will unveil its modernized ” Children’ s Reading Nook” completed by MKSD Architects of Lehigh Valley at 11am on 5/8/2017.
- The PPL Tower will be lit in red to recognize National Salvation Army Week.
- The Hospitality House (shelter) will unveil its’ new Community Garden completed by Barry Isett and Associates with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11AM on 5/12/17.
The open house programs will run from 10am – 2pm and will be held on the following dates:
