Volunteer Videographers and Storytellers Needed for PBS39’s ‘Our Town: Macungie’

Community meeting to take place Monday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Macungie Institute.

Bethlehem, Pa. — September 7, 2017 — PBS39, the Greater Lehigh Valley’s public media station, will continue its newly-popular Our Town video scrapbook series with Our Town: Macungie, which will focus on the people, places, and happenings of Macungie, Pennsylvania, as seen through the eyes of its residents.
On Monday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m., PBS39 will hold a community/volunteer meeting at the Macungie Institute (510 E. Main St., Macungie). During this meeting, PBS39 will answer questions about the project, and volunteers will brainstorm a list of subjects and events to capture in video and images. The group will help determine the stories to be told in the program, and which stories each volunteer will capture to create Our Town: Macungie. PBS39 hopes to recruit 20 to 25 area residents with personal camcorders, smartphones, or other devices for video recording.
Anyone interested in being a videographer and/or storyteller for the program should attend the meeting, or contact Laura McHugh, Director of Production & PBS Content Strategy, at (610) 984-8141 or by emailing OurTown@wlvt.org.
Our Town: Macungie will premiere Tuesday, November 28, 2017 on PBS39. For updates and more information, please visit ourtown.wlvt.org.
