PCFLV To Host 2nd Annual Giving Tuesday Blood Drive at Miller-Keystone Blood Centers

PCFLV Sets Goal of Collecting 100 Units of Blood

Bethlehem, PA Nov. 16, 2017 – The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) is hosting a blood drive on November 28th, Giving Tuesday, at the Miller-Keystone Blood Center locations in Allentown and Bethlehem. PCFLV has set a goal of collecting 100 units of blood throughout the day.

“So many of our cancer kids get frequent, sometimes daily, blood and platelet transfusions,” said Michelle Zenie, Executive Director of PCFLV, “that partnering with Miller-Keystone Blood Center for a blood drive makes perfect sense. And what better thing to ask people to give on Giving Tuesday than blood? Ultimately, their donations will help to save the lives of local kids with cancer.”

Donors can go to www.giveapint.org and schedule their appointment to donate. Upon arrival at Miller-Keystone, donors just need to mention PCFLV for their blood collection to count toward the PCFLV goal.

Miller-Keystone locations involved in the PCFLV Blood Drive are:

1465 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Suite 1300, Allentown, PA 18103 12 – 7 p.m.
