PBS39 Restructures to Align Organization with New Vision

The addition of new roles reflect commitment to strategic plan.

Bethlehem, Pa. — February 14, 2018 — PBS39, the community-owned public television station serving eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, announced changes in its management structure with the addition of new roles and responsibilities.  The restructuring is an effort to align the organization with its strategic plan, called WLVT 3.0., and to ensure the success of its goals, which focus on creating positive outcomes in the Greater Lehigh Valley and beyond.

Former Vice President of Marketing, DaWayne Cleckley, will now fill the role of Vice President of Community Development. In an effort to ensure the overall success of WLVT 3.0, Cleckley will be responsible for leading the organization’s efforts to build strong community partnerships that will have a positive impact for PBS39 and stakeholders, while assisting in building sustainable revenue streams for community initiatives.

Jim Macdonald, recently named Director of Marketing, will now lead PBS39’s marketing efforts. His 20+ years of experience will be instrumental in bringing WLVT 3.0 to fruition.

The strategic plan provides the foundation for PBS39’s future as a vital community resource for transformative change through collective impact in key areas: education, economic development, health care, civic responsibility, and arts & culture.  The plan also defines a future where PBS39 is the preeminent source of objective analysis and coverage of important community issues, and a provider of compelling content to the majority of the Lehigh Valley.

“We announced our new strategic plan in January of 2017, which was tied to the launch of our 50th Anniversary year. Since then, we’ve worked tirelessly to deliver on the plan’s objectives and community engagement strategy,” said Tim Fallon, CEO of PBS39. “This restructuring is in line with a series of planned steps to ensure that we fulfill our new vision: a community that is inspired, engaged and vibrant.”
