Korea/Vietnam Memorial Inc, United States Armed Forces Plaza 13th Anniversary Program



The Board of Directors cordially invites you to attend the thirteenth anniversary ceremony program honoring the most recent entries to the Plaza.  This year’s program will focus on the Centennial of World War One and Camp Crane (ambulance training ground) located at the Allentown Fairgrounds during WW 1.

The program will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm., in the Community Services Center on the campus of Lehigh-Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, PA on Route 309.  Parking is available in front of the building, which is handicap accessible.

We are honored to have the guest speaker from from the Washington DC area, Nancy Schaff, President and Treasurer of the Descendants and Friends of the 314th Infantry, A.E.F, World War One.  Also, with Nancy is a local descendant Kris Smith who is on the board of the 314th.   One of our KVM board members grandfather and Kris’s grandfather had served together in the 314th Infantry, 79th Division during WW 1.

KVM will honor with a granite the 314th soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice from our area.

We are looking for descendants of those who served with the 314th Infantry, 79th Division.

Also, The Jewish War Veterans of the U.S., Post 239, Allentown will be placing a bench on the Plaza to honor the organization’s history.

The Borinqueneers 65th IRMC & BCGM CNC will be presenting a bench as a tribute to the unit.

Fifteen veterans will be honored when personalized pavers will be placed in the Plaza walkway.

Light refreshments will follow the program.
