Bangor, Saturday May 19thThe Young Professionals Council’s 2nd Annual Benefit, Wine-K: Dash for the Glass, benefiting the Project of Easton, was held today at Franklin Hills Vineyards

The 5-K course took racers through the vineyard. Runners eagerly packed into the starting gate to dash through the scenic vineyards. Runners enjoyed the opportunity to ditch the need for running in a roadway like most 5k courses. Post-race activities included free wine tasting, food, raffles and outdoor games. Today’s rain did not dampen the spirits of the Wine-K: Dash for the Glass participants.

The Project of Easton‘s mission is to build a better community by helping people help themselves through offering educational support services to clients to help break the cycle of poverty. The services provided to Greater Lehigh Valley residences include Adult Education Classes, Family Literacy Program, School-Based Programming and Safety Net Support. http://www.projecteaston.org/
