BETHLEHEM, PA—On your mark, get set, fest! Start your Saturday morning Musikfest with a run Aug. 4, 8 a.m., as the annual Musikfest 5k returns. Featuring an all-new course that travels through the SouthSide Bethlehem starting at the ArtsQuest Center and ends in front of the iconic blast furnaces at SteelStacks, this 3.1-mile course is perfect for first-time 5k runners. Runners and walkers can register at www.musikfest.org or 610-332-1300.

The Musikfest 5k run and walk kicks off with live music (band TBA) on the Air Products Town Square at 7:30 a.m. to get the party started. At the finish line, participants will receive a Musikfest Mug full of goodies including $8 in Musikfest food and beverage tickets (for their first beer fill) and a Musikfest shuttle pass (retail value $22). For runners who want to get a jump on day two of Musikfest, a VIP shuttle to the north side of the festival will be available.

Early bird runners who register before May 30 save big with a registration fee of only $40. Registration is $45 May 31-June 28 and $50 June 29-Aug. 2. Participants are encouraged to register in advance, but same day registration will be available for $55.

The annual Musikfest 5k brings athletes of all abilities together to support the more than 500 free performances at Musikfest, one of the largest music festivals in the nation. Dates for the 35th edition of the festival are Aug. 3-12.
