ArtsQuest Invites Community to Share Musikfest Photos for 35th Anniversary Exhibition

BETHLEHEM, PA–The community is invited to submit their best photos of Musikfest over the years for the Musikfest 35th Anniversary Photography Exhibition, set for July 6-Sept. 2 at the Banana Factory.

First-prize will earn $150 and Honorable Mention will receive $75. Award winners will be announced via the Banana Factory and Musikfest Instagram and Facebook pages June 22. Individuals may submit up to three high-resolution images along with the year the photo was taken for a fee of $10. Submissions can be made at www.bananafactory.org/exhibitions/ and deadline to apply is June 17.

The Musikfest 35th Anniversary Photography Exhibition is designed to celebrate the festival and everyone who attends. Photographs should capture the fun, festiveness and essence of the festival. Accepted works will be displayed at ArtsQuest’s Banana Factory in the Hallway to the Arts.

All accepted works must be framed and be behind glass or plexiglass, with hanging wire properly attached to the back of the frame. Each piece should be labeled on the back with name and title, medium and price. If work is not for sale, individuals should label NFS.

Founded in 1984 by the nonprofit ArtsQuest, Musikfest is the largest free music festival in the nation, attracting up to one million people every year. This year’s festival takes place Aug. 3-12 and features more than 500 performances, nearly 60 food vendors, visual arts workshops, hot glass demonstrations and more.
