SouthSide Swing at SteelStacks Returns with Free Swing Lessons, Grammy Award Nominee David Ostwald and More

BETHLEHEM, PA – Loosen those limbs and get ready to dance because SouthSide Swing presented by Coordinated Health and WDIY returns to Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks July 19-21.

Don’t know how to swing? No problem! Gas House Dance Hall dance instructors will be on the 24 x 24 Levitt Lawn dance floor starting at 6:45 p.m. each day to get dancers ready for performances by hot jazz artists like Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society July 19, which perform jazz, blues and pop from the ’20s-’30s, and The New Orleans Cottonmouth Kings July 21, playing traditional New Orleans jazz.

On Saturday, SouthSide Swing also welcomes David Ostwald, who with blues legend Big Joe Turner was nominated for a Grammy award in 1986. Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band will be featured at the Friday Levitt performance.

July 20

9:00 p.m. – Evan Cory Levine & His Singular Band, Community Stage

July 21
6:45 p.m. – FREE Beginner Swing Lesson, Levitt Pavilion
