CENTER FOR VISION LOSS, Allentown needs volunteers to assist clients with visual impairment during a weekly walk at the Lehigh Valley Mall from 9-10:30am every Wednesday. COMPEER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown needs volunteers for one-on-one friendship matches.   Compeer matches volunteers with members who are in stable, mental health recovery. Volunteers spend time with the member doing things like talking over a cup of coffee, taking a walk, going to a free concert, etc. Flexible hours available in both Northampton and Lehigh Counties. FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem has a National Day of Service (9/11) Volunteer Opportunity perfect for friends, families, clubs, youth/church groups, senior citizens, corporate team building groups, and individuals available from 5-8pm. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY – RESTORE, Whitehall seeks volunteers for ReStore Crew. Help needed TuesdaySaturday; flexible hours; some training provided. Tasks include staging/ merchandising of donated items; assisting customers with sales process, including transporting purchased items; assist with housekeeping in donation center; greeting potential donors to determine acceptability of items. PENNSYLVANIA OUTDOOR VETERANS, Lehighton is a 50l (c)(3) nonprofit organization serving veterans and their families throughout PA. Their mission is to enhance and promote healing of physical/emotional well-being of combat veterans while connecting with nature and the great outdoors. They are seeking Letters of Interest for Board of Directors. Volunteers are also needed to help with fundraising, grant writing, events, programs, and administrative duties. SECOND HARVEST, Nazareth is in need of volunteers for warehouse sorting from 8:30am-2pm Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 7/25. They also need a volunteer for part-time receptionist help three times a week. Duties include: greeting clients, answering phones, filing and bulk mailings, assist Marketing & Development team. SPIRITRUST LUTHERAN HOME CARE & HOSPICE, Allentown is looking for friendly people to visit their hospice clients. No medical background needed. Read to clients, watch TV, or look at pictures.
