A NOTE FROM OUR CHAIR MEMBERS

“We wanted to create an event that fostered healthy living in the Lehigh Valley and benefitted local charities. To that end, we

partnered with Kellyn Foundation and Germansville Fire Company to bring the event to life with Heidelberg Church’s portion of the proceeds all benefiting non-profits in the Lehigh Valley that benefit healthy living initiatives. The course is wonderful and brings

together our neighbors to an undiscovered gem of the Lehigh Valley. The rural countryside road course passes by centuries-old

stone farmhouses and several working farms. Sign up or learn more at heidelberg5k.com and I look forward to seeing everyone out there on Saturday, September 22. Even more impressive than the course is the top-notch group of volunteers and sponsors that

have generously donated their time, talent and funds to help make this event a reality,” – Brian Lenhart, Heidelberg 5k Chair & Member of Heidelberg Church Consistory

“We are so grateful for the amazing support of all of our sponsors and donors. Our goal to keep sponsors within the local

community was a big one and it  was great to  see such local participation. We  received overwhelming support from  BB&T  Bank, CAT Country, Lehigh Valley Presses, The New Tripoli Bank & Neffs Bank just to name a few. In addition, we received numerous

donations from local companies such as Sorensen Construction, Olde Homestead & more. Without their support we would not be  able to get this event off the ground.” – Amber Kinney, Sponsorship Chair, Heidelberg 5k

“I’m excited to be part of the first Heidelberg 5K run and fun walk in the beautiful rural area of the Lehigh Valley! The race day

activities include event t-shirts, awards, food trucks, and snacks. We are excited to offer two favorite food  trucks, Around the Table  and Couchpota-doh, along with Lehigh Valley Polish Water Ice. I’m looking forward to seeing family, friends, and community

members come together to join in the fun!” – Todd Knauss, Operations Chair, Heidelberg 5k

“The Kellyn Foundation’s mission is to develop, support, facilitate and implement programs that encourage family and community physical and emotional wellness, while focused on healthy lifestyles. This collaboration on the Heidelberg 5K Run/Walk

underscores our mission. We hope to continue working with this community as we gain access to funding to bring our educational programs to more school districts. I encourage everyone to be involved with this event with their families, to benefit this and

surrounding communities for years to come.” – Bill Casaceli, Head Chef and Healthy Lifestyles Educator, Kellyn Foundation

“The Perfect Six Marketing team is  very excited to  take part in  the first annual Heidelberg 5k! This event not only provides us with    the opportunity to support remarkable organizations, but also to promote a gathering of the community we call home. Even better,

it benefits healthy living initiatives. We are looking forward to  connecting with  everyone involved and forming a  lifelong partnership  for years to come!” – Denise, Marketing Chair, Heidelberg 5k

“The Germansville Fire Department is excited to be a part of the Heidelberg 5k and help bring another great event to an already

great community. We are humbled to be one of the beneficiaries of the event and cannot wait to see all the competitors!” – Randy Metgzer, Deputy Chief of Germansville Fire Company
