Provident Bank provides “pet stockings” to

Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley

Bethlehem, PA, December 19, 2018 – Provident Bank delivered 400 “pet stockings” to Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley. For the third year in a row, Provident Bank collected the stockings at its branches throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley. The stockings contain pet food, treats, toys and other pet supplies.

The stockings will be delivered – along with the traditional hot and cold meal for human owners – to homebound seniors and people with disabilities.

“Ani-Meals started when we heard reports of clients giving their meals to their pets,” says Vicki Coyle, CEO for Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley. “Now, we are helping to keep 289 dogs and 271 cats with their owners by providing pet food and supplies, we can make sure clients are actually eating the food we provide instead of starving and giving the food to their beloved companions”.
