AMERICAN RED CROSS of the GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY has volunteer opportunities to help with their Blood Drives. Transportation drivers are needed to deliver blood and related products from blood drives to the Red Cross Donation Center in Philadelphia and/or from the Donation Center to area hospitals.   Blood Donor Ambassadors are needed to provide customer service to donors at blood drives by helping with registration, greet donors, and offer refreshments. HISPANIC CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem needs volunteers to help stocking shelves in the food pantry Jan 7 -11, anytime between hours 8:30AM – 5:30PM. NORTHEAST MINISTRY, Bethlehem needs tutors to assist during their After-School Homework Club. Children attend Monday-Thursday from 3-5pm and require assistance with homework, reading, writing, and school projects. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown needs volunteers to restock and refresh apartments on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm. As apartments are vacated, they must be cleaned and restocked for incoming residents.   When families move out, they can take sheets, pillows, blanket, and other household items with them. SECOND HARVEST, Nazareth is looking for a group of volunteers interested in helping pack for their SUNShine Box Program from 8:30am-12pm on Tuesday, February 26. The SUNShine Box Program is the distribution of federal-funded commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) Boxes. THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield invites all individuals/groups looking to volunteer for Martin Luther King Jr. day to come help the animals at their ranch. Help feed and water the ducks, chickens, piggies, alpacas, goats, horses, and more! Your help goes a long way in providing a loving and caring home for these animals. THE SALVATION ARMY of the GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem needs cooking teams to prepare community meals on Sundays, serving at 1pm. This is an excellent opportunity for service clubs, church groups, employee groups, friend groups, etc. This is a year-round volunteer opportunity. Meal contents provided. THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDREN’S SERVICES, Allentown is seeking energetic volunteers that want to make a difference in the lives of foster children and families in the Lehigh Valley by helping to plan their 8th Annual Rock N Run 4 Kids. This is a 10K, 5K, and Kids Fun Run held in May at Coca-Cola Park. This is a flexible opportunity with the ability to do much of the work on your own time. Group meetings are once a month.
