Rally hosted by Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in response to Supreme Court ruling
ALLENTOWN, PA — More than five dozen of community members joined together after work on January 22 to participate in a rally hosted by Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center to support transgender service members. The rally was organized immediately following the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to allow President Trump’s unfair, unconstitutional ban on open military service for transgender Americans to stand.
The rally was emceed by Atticus Ranck, Health Programs & Supportive Services Manager at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center and speakers included Rev. Beth Goudy, Pastor of Metropolitan Community Church, Mohan Seshadri, Organizer at Planned Parenthood Keystone, Transgender military veteran Jenn Usher, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center Executive Director Adrian Shanker, Allentown City Councilwoman Candida Affa, Lehigh County Commissioner Amy Zanelli, and Corinne Goodwin, the facilitator of Renaissance Lehigh Valley, the Transgender social and support group at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center. The rally was planned with just four hours, and more than five dozen community members attended to stand in support of open service for transgender service members.

The ban on trans military service harms our country and causes immediate harm to transgender service members. America deserves better.” said Adrian Shanker, Executive Director of Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center
