Art & Art Inspired Hairstyles Collide in the Burgundy Experiment at the Banana Factory March 22

The art of beauty and beautiful artwork come together for one very special evening as the Banana Factory Art Center’s third-floor artists join with Metro Beauty Academy for a one-of-a-kind art event Friday, March 22, 6-9 p.m.

The event, which will take place on the third floor of the Banana Factory, features an unveiling of new art created by the Banana Factory artists. Each participating artist will was paired with a Metro Beauty hairstylist to create a hairstyle based on that artist’s work. Wigs are being provided to the hairstylist to create the art-inspired hairdo, and all creations will be on display for the first time during the event.

Guests will have the opportunity to guess which wig correlates with which artist.  Entry forms will be available, and one winner will be chosen from the correct answers.  An original work of art, the Burgundy Butterfly mosaic by Kim Hogan, will be awarded to the winner of the drawing.

Hairstylists will be on hand during the evening to provide artsy hairstyles to guests.  There will also be a live mural demonstration by artist Lauren Kuhn, and other delightful surprises throughout the evening.  The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
