2019 Season Highlighted by New Automotive Photography Class with Photographer Zachary Emrick

BETHLEHEM, PA—Car enthusiasts from near and far are ready to rev up their engines at SteelStacks’ campus this spring and summer during the monthly Cars & Coffee Lehigh Valley series presented by Chevrolet 21. The series, featuring hundreds of cars, trucks and motorcycles, returns for its exciting seventh season starting April 28, 9 a.m.-noon.

A free event for the community, Cars & Coffee encourages car and truck aficionados from throughout the region to come together for a fun-filled morning featuring up to 500 different vehicles of all makes and models. In 2018, the series drew more than 20,000 visitors to SteelStacks throughout the year.

“The participation of so many people is what makes this event so successful every year,” says Cars & Coffee Lehigh Valley Co-founder Dan Kendra. “Once a month car enthusiasts can separate themselves from their daily patterns and jump into their vehicles and express themselves the way they want. It is human nature to express ourselves in multiple ways. Some choose machines of power and speed. For me, personally, these machines are all about emotion.”

This season, automotive lovers will have the opportunity to capture high-quality images of their favorite cars at a one-day PHOTOPASS Workshop led by professional photographer Zachary Emerick. A new element to Cars & Coffee Lehigh Valley, the workshop will teach participants how to take great automotive photographs with instruction on effective framing, lighting, detail and action shots, as well as discussion on how to edit in post-processing. All registered participants will have a reserved parking spot for the event, as well as a cordoned off area with three fabulous cars to practice photographing away from the crowds.

PHOTOPASS Cars & Coffee takes place Sun., May 19, 8 a.m. Participants are required to have a reliable DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera or a MILC (Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera) and the class is intended for students ages 14 and up. Tickets for the workshop are $90, or $81 for ArtsQuest Members, and available now at www.bananafactory.org.

“Chevy 21 is proud to support the 2019 season of Cars & Coffee at SteelStacks,” says Jerry Horst, president of Chevy 21. “As president of our dealership, I’m proud to be involved with wonderful community events like this great gathering for automotive enthusiasts.  We are excited to see the vehicles that participate in the event and to bring our cutting-edge cars and trucks for everyone to see.”
