Lehigh County Partnering with Pennsylvania Music & Arts Celebration to Collect Supplies for Homeless Veterans

(Allentown, PA)- This Memorial Day weekend, Lehigh County’s Office of Veteran’s Affairs is partnering with the Pennsylvania Music & Arts Celebration in an effort to collect donated items for homeless veterans throughout the county.

The donation drive is looking to collect both hygiene and new clothing products for our homeless veteran population.

Hygiene products that they’re looking to collect include items such as bath soap, shaving cream, feminine hygiene products and band aids.

Lehigh County is also asking for new pairs of socks, T-shirts and walking shorts as well as clean towels.

A donation bin will be at the entrance going into the event at the Ag Center on the Fairgrounds the entire weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Monday, May 27th, there will be an official celebration of the service and sacrifice of our veterans at the flag pole located between the Ag Center and Charles Hall on the Allentown Fairgrounds, 17th and Chew Streets, Allentown, PA. The event will start at noon.

Lehigh County will distribute the donated items to organizations which will pass them along to our homeless veterans.
