ALLENTOWN SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION, Allentown is looking for volunteers for performances at beautiful, historic Miller Symphony Hall. Duties include: greet patrons, scan tickets, seat patrons, give directions; for jazz events- set up tables with candles and print materials, clear tables at end of event. ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION, Allentown needs volunteers to help feed their men at the Mission by taking part of their “Make and Serve” Program. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, Lehigh Valley is looking for “Road to Recovery” volunteer drivers (18-84 years) for driving ambulatory patients to their cancer-related medical appointments during the week days between 7am-5pm. Schedules are flexible; drivers must have good driving record, proof of insurance, a reliable vehicle or use an ACS owned vehicle, need clear background check, valid driver’s license, computer, laptop and internet access, and must take online training. CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY needs volunteers to assist with their 12th Annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release benefiting local cancer patients from 9am-1pm on Saturday, September 7 at Cedar Crest College. Help residents, visitors, and staff with purchases; cashier experience helpful; training provided. Also need volunteer to assist residents as they paint projects at Woodworking activity on Thursdays 2-3pm. Clean small paint brushes, select colors, etc. Criminal Background Check provided. SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, Nazareth needs volunteers for their Free Fridays (when member agencies shop at their food bank at no cost to them). Usually up to 10 volunteers are needed from 12:30-2:30pm.
