Lehigh Valley Public Media™ To Air National Democratic Debate on PBS39 & WLVR

Bethlehem, PA. – December 16, 2019 – Lehigh Valley Public Media™ will air the debate for the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday, December 19. This debate will take place at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and will be sponsored by PBS Newshour and POLITICO. PBS NewsHour and NPR News will offer an anchored simulcast feed as LIVE Special Coverage, which will be picked up by Lehigh Valley Public Media’s PBS39 and WLVR radio respectively.

Coverage will begin at 8:00 p.m., will likely run until at least 11:00 p.m., and will be hosted by NPR’s Michel Martin. Also joining the coverage: members of the NPR Politics team in Washington DC, as well as NPR political correspondent Scott Detrow who will be at the debate in Los Angeles.

“Every debate in this election process is significant,” Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of Lehigh Valley Public Media said. “This year, we are incredibly proud to air live coverage through not only PBS39 but our radio platform, WLVR as well.”
