HOTEL BETHLEHEM’S 1741 ON THE TERRACE RESTAURANT TO OFFER DISCOUNT TO SHULA’S GIFT CARDHOLDERS

BETHLEHEM, PA – January 22, 2015 – The last thing any business owner wants is a disappointed customer. So when Hotel Bethlehem General Manager Dennis Costello heard the news that Shula’s Steakhouse in Allentown closed suddenly, he felt bad for all of the customers with valid gift cards to the restaurant.

Knowing that his hotel’s restaurant, 1741 on the Terrace, offers a comparable upscale dining menu, but with a focus on local ingredients, he decided to make Shula’s gift cardholders an offer they can’t refuse.

Starting January 22, 1741 on the Terrace will offer a 25 percent discount to all guests who show a valid Shula’s Steakhouse gift card to their server. (*Note – black out dates may apply.)

The Hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Chef Rodney Rivera is the former Executive Chef at Shula’s Steakhouse when it was located at The Promenade Shops in Saucon Valley.

The 1741 Classics menu features the tried and true dishes that diners have come to expect at the acclaimed restaurant, such as lamb chops, steak, and salmon. The restaurant, lead by Hotel Bethlehem Executive Chef Michael Adams, partners with local farms in its goal of sourcing as many ingredients as locally as possible, even in winter. He selects artisan cheeses from The Farm at Doe Run in Coatesville, salad greens and herbs from Gottschell Farm in Limeport, and produce, meats and raw honey from Lancaster Farm Fresh.
