PBS39 Wins a 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy® Award for “Street Medicine”



 

New Team Members at PBS39 Win an Additional 2 Student Emmy® Awards

Bethlehem, PA, October 15, 2018 – The Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy® Awards were held Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott.  WLVT – PBS39 won an Emmy for the category, “HEALTH/ENVIRONMENT/SCIENCE PROGRAM/SPECIAL” for the documentary, “Close to Home: Street Medicine”.  In addition two new team members of PBS39 won awards for their work while at Temple University.  The PBS39 team was nominated for 5 Emmys and 7 Student Emmys.

 

“Close to Home: Street Medicine” was a co-production of PBS39 and the Lehigh Valley Health Network.  The PBS39 team who worked on the winning documentary included Dr. Teri Haddad, Laura McHugh, Matthew Lewis, Stephen Kauffman, and Jeffrey Frederick.  Student award winners included Tracy Yatsko and Daniel Ray.  Yatsko joined the PBS39 team in January as a General Assignment Reporter and Host, and Ray joined PBS39 in May as a Producer/Editor.
