Betlehem, PA – June 13, 2019 – Domaci is excited to announce its upcoming Drag Queen Story Time in partnership with fellow SouthSide Arts District merchants Color Me Mine and Lit Coffee Roastery and Bakeshop on Sunday, June 23 from 10am-12pm.

It’s never too early to start teaching children about literacy or individuality, empathy, and acceptance. Drag Queen Story Time gives children of all ages a platform to experience and celebrate the differences that make us all uniquely special. And what better time than Pride month to do so?

Drag Queen Story Time is exactly what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children. This event captures the imagination and play of childhood and gives kids glamorous and positive role models that they might not otherwise be exposed to. At events like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can be whomever they wish to be.

Domaci will welcome Local drag star Eileen O’Brennan with her Drag King friend, Bryce, to read a story or two before entertaining the crowd with a special performance just for the kids. We promise you don’t want to miss her performance of “Baby Shark”!

Following the story and performance, there will be time for photos with Eileen and Bryce before heading over to Color Me Mine for a special painting party (studio fees will apply).

During this free event, parents will be able to enjoy complimentary Lemongrass Mimosas + coffee and treats from Lit Coffee Roastery and Bakeshop.
