Bethlehem Catholic Awarded $5,000 Grant



Local School Honored for Enrollment Increase by the Healey Education Foundation

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2015) – Bethlehem Catholic High School (2133 Madison Avenue) has accepted a School Advancement Grant for Excellence (SAGE) of $5,000 from the Healey Education Foundation. The grant was awarded for highest percentage growth in enrollment for a high school as part of the foundation’s Catholic School Development Program, which invests in the sustainability and growth of Catholic schools.

The Healey Education Foundation recognizes and incentivizes outstanding work by honoring the highest performing schools across several dioceses that advance their schools’ missions through achievement in enrollment management and fundraising.

“We are humbled to accept this award; it is an achievement that could not have been realized without the hard work of the entire BecaHi community,” said Joseph Henrich, Bethlehem Catholic’s  Director of Admissions. “Enrollment increases are challenging during difficult economic times, but we have placed an emphasis on and attracting the type of students that we believe will thrive and excel in the demanding educational environment that BecaHi offers.”

The SAGE Grant was officially presented to Bethlehem Catholic representatives at an award ceremony on October 8, 2015 at the Union League in Philadelphia. This is the third year that that Bethlehem Catholic has been a member school within the Healey Education Foundation, and is their first time winning a SAGE award.
