EASTON, Pa.—Greater Lehigh Valley Writers’ Group (GLVWG) will hold its monthly meeting from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The meeting is offered in a hybrid format—in-person at the Palmer Branch of the Easton Library, 1 Weller Place, Palmer, PA, and online via Zoom.
Membership business will be conducted from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. From 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., designer Gayle Hendricks will present “Graphic Design for Authors.” This workshop is for writers who hire designers as well as DIYers. It centers on what makes a good cover and interior, choosing cover images, basic design and type concepts, resolution, and more.
Hendricks will present an afternoon workshop on graphic design for authors. Participants will critique published books and learn what makes them a good or bad design. Hendricks will have samples, but attendees are encouraged to bring examples (perhaps their own covers?) for critique.
Registration is required for the afternoon program. Cost is free for members; $15 for non-members payable via AccuPay. Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for any GLVWG event.
