Downtown Allentown  New Year’s Eve Celebration



 

Allentown, PA December 20, 2016: If you’re a music lover and looking for the perfect end to a great year, look no further. Many of the restaurants in Downtown Allentown will be offering live music. The Hamilton Kitchen is offering a delicious pre-fixe menu for $75, plus live music by The Groove Merchants!  Right down the street, Queen City BBQ will feature menu specials plus a performance by The BC Combo. Bell Hall is topping off their night with music by the Copper Fields and Sugar Hill Jazz House is featuring jazz artist, Nancy Coletti.  The party continues with DJs at Chickie’s & Pete’s, Allentown Brew Works, the Dime, and Halo Nightclub.

 

The Hamilton District Main Street Program in partnership with the City of Allentown is celebrating the New Year in downtown Allentown. The event will begin at 10 p.m. at the southeast corner of 7th and Hamilton Streets in front of the Lehigh County Government Center. Charlie Brown’s Notorious Groove will perform leading up to a countdown and fireworks display at midnight. This is a free event and is open to the public.

WHEN:  Saturday, December 31st
TIME: 10 p.m. – Midnight

This event will coincide with evening specials and events at downtown restaurants including but not limited to 99 Bottles, Allentown Brew Works, Bay Leaf, Bell Hall, Centro, Chickie’s & Pete’s, The Dime, grain., The Hamilton Kitchen, Hook, Queen City BBQ, Roar Social House, and Sugar Hill Jazz House. Enjoy the evening at one or more of these great restaurants, then join us in the heart of Allentown to usher in the start of 2017 with music, fun, and fireworks!

PARKING NOTICE FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE: Cars arriving after 5 p.m. at the Arena North deck, the Transportation Center (6th & Linden) and the Spiral Deck (Linden between 8th &9th) can enter for just $3 for the entire event. Between 7 and 8 p.m. an event will be ending at the PPL Center, be wary of congestion at that time.
