VALLEY YOUTH HOUSE TO BENEFIT FROM “THE REALLY BIG SHOW” PRESENTED BY MORGAN STANLEY

BETHLEHEM, PA (March 22, 2019) – It is with great excitement that Valley Youth House announces “The Really Big Show”, presented by Morgan Stanley to benefit Valley Youth House on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Musikfest Café at SteelStacks. “The Really Big Show” is an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment that reminds all of us about the importance of community and how vital it is for us to give back.  This charitable fundraiser and variety show style event will feature singing sensation, Marc Martel, a vocalist for the 20th Century Fox award-winning Queen biopic, “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Before being a credited vocalist for “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Martel’s YouTube videos went viral, leading to an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and a performance with the surviving members of Queen on “American Idol. In 2012, Martel was hand-selected by Brian May and Roger Taylor of the legendary band, Queen, to front their official tribute, The Queen Extravaganza.  Queen drummer Roger Taylor remarked to the Daily Record: “That voice. You listen, close your eyes and you think it’s Freddie. It’s really uncanny.”  Martel now currently performs with his own Queen tribute band, The Ultimate Queen Celebration.

Also performing at “The Really Big Show” will be Matthew Schuler, a finalist on Season 5 of “The Voice”, who will also emcee the event.  Schuler had the fastest chair turn around in “The Voice” history and his rendition of “Hallelujah reached #1 on the iTunes chart. Speaking about Schuler, his “The Voice” coach Christina Aguilera, said, “There is something so magical and the room becomes silent and then you just lift it up, the applause.”

Valley Youth House (VYH) will be selling sponsorships for this event, which include tickets to The Really Big Show performances and entrance to the pre-show Cocktail Reception & After Party Desserts.  If not sold-out, individual tickets will go on sale April 1, 2019.  The proceeds from “The Really Big Show” will support the life-changing programs and services provided to youth and families served by Valley Youth House.

Valley Youth House started in 1973 as a shelter for homeless and runaway youth.  Since then, it has grown into the largest provider of help and support to homeless youth and families in our region.  Every year, over 31,000 young people receive counseling, emergency housing support, life skills training and family therapy to help them either reunite with their families or successfully transition to independent living.  These young people need our help and this event will provide critically needed funds.
