This year’s 5th annual Amy’s Ride Run Walk for 2019 set an event record of more than 400 participants and more than 50 volunteers. This family oriented event has donated over $130,000 in four years from this event to pancreatic cancer research and treatment.

Amy’s event hosts 3 separate events on the same day:

A 42 mile scenic bike route that takes you on the rural roads of Quakertown. This ride has the optional HILL CHALLENGE, sponsored by The Velo Shop. Strava enthusiasts taking the challenge have the opportunity to become the King or Queen of the Mountain on the category 5 hill segment going up “Ghost Mountain”. Just be the fastest up the mountain!

The 2nd event is a 24 MILE RIDE for families and casual riders. This rolling hill route, crosses Sheards Covered Bridge and travels through wooded, scenic roads in Haycock looping around the Lake Towhee area.

The final event is a 5k run/walk around Quakertown’s Memorial Park Trail looping back to the start/finish line

This dog friendly event also had a visit from the Lehigh Valley Phantom’s mascot, Melvin! Melvin brought plenty of enthusiasm and sunshine to the event.
