The Collingwood at Bell Hall #AJF2017

Wednesday’s falling temperatures pushed The Collingwood performance from being played at the outdoor courtyard to being played inside at Bell Hall in Allentown. The last-minute change did not affect the spirits of the band and sound crew. It was a very entertaining sound check that could have dubbed as a standup comedy act as the crew and band joked around. However, The Collingwood was not there for joking around, from the drop of the first drumstick and the first lick of the guitar it was all business as they just about rocked the doors off of Bell Hall. Some may have wondered why a rock band was a part of the line-up for the 2017 Allentown JazzFest, but those questioned ceased as the audience was treated to a fusion of sound unlike any rock band they have ever heard before. Each instrument and the lead vocals played off of, and combined with each other in a way that was a thrill to experience live. The only question left at the end of the night was when will we get to see The Collingwood play in the Lehigh Valley again.
