HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. This program coordinated by the Volunteer Center is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. THE SALVATION ARMY FOSTER CARE & ADOPTION SERVICES, Allentown, is looking for volunteers (min age 12 w/ adult) willing to donate time and energy to help us carry out the 2019 Lehigh Valley Kids Art Show.  The show will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 11am-2pm at Nitschmann Middle School in celebration of National Adoption Month.  Volunteer dates and times vary depending on opportunity. Volunteers are needed to pick-up and transport art from collection sites prior to event; prepare/label submissions for display; set-up artwork & displays; carefully remove art at conclusion of event and package for transport. WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY, Emmaus, is looking for Animal Care Volunteers who would be responsible for assisting with the professional care and maintenance of our education animals which include mostly native raptors, small mammals, amphibians, and arthropods.  Volunteers must have previous experience caring for animals and be able to commit to a full season (preferably more than 6 months) of work and regularly scheduled work days.
