Pinsley Positioned to Win Senate 16th District
Pinsley leading Browne by double digits

Allentown, PA — A new poll shows the Democratic challenger, Mark Pinsley, on the path to achieving a major upset in his race against incumbent Pat Browne. A poll completed on September 20th shows that Pinsley is at the critical 50% support level. After information, Republican incumbent Pat Browne is extremely vulnerable. Lehigh County Democrats show amongst the highest level of enthusiasm for Democratic voters in Pennsylvania.

The race is at a virtual tie in key demographics from the start- high attention voters, women and independents. Pinsley’s polling shows that once his messaging reaches voters, he gains a commanding lead that is unlikely for Browne to overcome in the current environment. Governor Wolf holds a commanding 57-39 lead in the 16th district and Congressional Candidate Susan Wild is similarly well-positioned with a lead of 52-39 in this portion of the 7th Congressional district.

Pinsley’s profile and message resonates with the community, and after hearing balanced profile information on each candidate, Pinsley takes a commanding 11-point lead over the Republican incumbent. Senator Pat Browne receives a dismal 39% of the vote, showing his vulnerability just 6 weeks from election day.

“Voters want a Senator who reflects their values and will hold extremists in Harrisburg accountable. Pinsley is ready to take on the special interests and has refused to accept corporate PAC funding. Legislators like Pat Browne have pushed an agenda that only benefits lobbyists and special interests, raising taxes on the rest of us to pay for it,” said Hillary Kleinz, Pinsley’s campaign manager. “Browne has voted too many times in favor of big oil, big business and against the working men and women of this district. He’s voted against taxing oil and gas companies, to ban abortion even in the case of rape or incest, defund public education and instead of supporting common sense gun reforms, he voted to arm teachers in our classrooms. Those aren’t the values of Lehigh County residents. Pat Browne’s record in Harrisburg has become more extreme every year. Mark will fight alongside Governor Wolf to prevent the GOP from advancing Trump’s dangerous agenda of attacks on our healthcare, our environment, and our democracy.”

Mark Pinsley is a Pennsylvania native who put himself through college while serving in the Army Reserves. He is currently a South Whitehall Township Commissioner and small business owner. Since Mark started his first business at the age of 22 he’s seen the skyrocketing costs of insurance. The current healthcare system is hurting our families and holding back businesses from succeeding. No one should go bankrupt from medical bills, including small businesses.
