AMERICA ON WHEELS MUSEUM, Allentown – Help ensure that the museum is one of the best in educational programs, lectures, exhibits and entertainment where visitors can learn about the history of the automobile. Trained tour guides & docents present to group & individuals sharing the fascinating history within the Museum collection. Exhibit rotates every six months. CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB, Allentown is looking for cheerful volunteers who enjoy helping others shop. A volunteer is needed to run their charming, little Gift Shop on Mondays and/or Saturdays. Must commit to one a day a week from 11:30am-3:30pm. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY – RESTORE, Whitehall seeks volunteers Tuesday-Saturday; flexible hours; some training provided. Tasks include staging/ merchandising of donated items; assisting with sales, including transporting purchased items; assist with housekeeping in donation center; greeting potential donors to determine acceptability of items. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK, Bethlehem, Quakertown and Warren Campuses need Volunteer Escorts, Patient Advocates and Hospice Volunteers Monday through Friday from 8am-12pm or 12-4pm. Spend time socializing with and providing comfort items to patients and lending a hand to staff. SECOND HARVEST – COOKING MATTERS PROGRAM needs volunteers for their Cooking Matters Program, a six-week cooking and nutrition educational course, offered to low income families at sites in Allentown and Bethlehem. Volunteer commitment is 3 hours per week for 6 consecutive weeks. Volunteers go through a 2-hour online training and a 1 hour in-person training. SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem is looking for volunteer drivers (18+ years) to help safely transport people who are elderly and/or disabled to and from doctor appointments and with grocery shopping in the Lehigh Valley. Volunteers are also needed to help others who can’t get out on their own through visitation, socializing, and taking them out of their home environment. YOUTH VOLUNTEER COUNCIL-VOLUNTEER CENTER of the LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is recruiting high school students from grades 10 to 12 and college students to participate in their inaugural Youth Volunteer Council. Their mission is to be the premier resource that coordinates and connects a diverse culture of youth to community service within the Greater Lehigh Valley.
