Lehigh County Controller Glenn Eckhart Appointed to Executive Board of Pennsylvania State Association of Elected County Officials (PSAECO)

(Allentown, PA)- In December, Glenn Eckhart, Lehigh County Controller, was officially appointed to serve on the Executive Board of PSAECO.  PSAECO is a critical statewide organization that helps to shape the legislative agenda in Harrisburg as it pertains to counties throughout the Commonwealth.

Eckhart, who has been a member of the organization for a year, was initially appointed to serve as a representative from the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers (PSACC).  He was appointed by Schuylkill County Controller, Christie Joy who was then President of PSACC. Jeffery Balzer of Westmorland County appointed Eckhart to another one-year term as he became PSACC President this year.

“It’s a tremendous honor to represent Lehigh County on the executive board of this immensely important organization.  I look forward to advocating for legislation that positively impacts our county and ensuring that Harrisburg does everything it can to enable county officials to do their jobs and serve their constituents.  At the end of the day, I’m committed to serving the people of Lehigh and making sure they have the best services and most the effective government,” said Eckhart.

Eckhart had agreed to serve on the Executive Board, as incoming President, Bucks County Donald Petrille was nominated to lead PSAECO in 2019. Donald Petrille is the Bucks County Register of Wills.

PSAECO’s official mission statement is to “bring closer cooperation with the associations of the various county officials for the general benefit and mutual welfare of the member organizations and the public whom we serve.”
