Family-Owned Upscale Printing Studio moving to Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA _ Yi’ima Printing is moving its upscale printing studio from Quakertown to Allentown when it completes renovations to its new building at 724 E. Cedar Street. Yi’ima Printing closed on the building acquisition on February 22nd. Jeff Barber of Lehigh Financial Group LLC of Allentown helped arranged the financing that made the purchase possible.

“We’re moving from leased space to owned space,” said Paul Progen, who owns the business with his wife, Amy. Progen said he’s also excited to be in Allentown and be part of its revival. “We feel Allentown is an area that’s improving and we’d like to be part of that.”

“It’s great to see small businesses like Paul’s grow and purchase his own building instead of renting space,” said Barber.

The new location is ideal for his family-owned business and gives it room to expand, which he plans to do, Progen said. Yi’ima Printing, which also does business as InvitationBasket.com, specializes in custom invitations for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, retirement parties, and Quinceañera, as well as thank-you and save-the-date cards.

Its new building, which had been a day spa, needs to be renovated for both production equipment and office space. Progen expects it to be a few months until the business is ready to relocate.

The listing agent was Bob Stoker of RE/MAX Allentown and the buyer’s agent was Marlene Blose of RE/MAX Unlimited of Whitehall.  The loan was funded by Ryan Kinnon of People First FCU.
