PA Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman to be Guest of Honor at Coplay 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner

COPLAY  – Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman, the highest ranking elected official to ever visit the Borough will be the special guest of honor and main speaker at the Gala Dinner to be held on Saturday, April 6th at the American Club Pavilion in Coplay to kick-off the Borough’s 150th Anniversary.

The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the digging up and opening of a time capsule that is buried nearby at the Veterans Memorial on Chestnut Street.  The contents will later be displayed at the dinner.  A Cocktail Hour will start at 4:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:00 p.m., speakers at 6:00 p.m. and then live music by “A Few Good Men” until 10:00 p.m.

“As the former Mayor of a Borough similar in size to Coplay (The Borough of Braddock actually has 1,000 fewer residents than Coplay), we thought he was the perfect fit to be our guest of honor,” said Coplay Councilman and Chairman of the Anniversary Committee Steve Burker.  “In addition, the Lieutenant Governor has been here before and understands what a small, former industrial Borough is all about.  He can identify with our residents and our values here in Coplay better than anyone. We are excited to have him here on this very special day for our Borough,” Burker concluded.
